designed to save you time and money.
Studies show that the average person hasn't worn over 50% of the clothes they own in the past year. What a waste of money.
When we buy a piece of clothing, we want to know that we'll be able to wear it over and over again.
A problem we often see is that most clothes sold here aren't versatile enough. They work only in specific outfits or for specific settings.
Think of clothes that only work for one thing: a shirt that can only fits going out for dinner, clothes that you would only wear to the office, or a fancy shirt that only matches nicely with one other trousers you own.
Too few occasions to wear them to. Too few combinations they can be worn in. You're just less likely to wear them.
The problem with this is you end up having to buy a lot of clothes to fill the gaps. You end up wasting time trying to figure out which clothes go together. You end up wasting time having to go back between events to change.
And we think that's really the heart of versatility in clothing. Clothes that go pair together easily and are flexible across events.
So that even with fewer clothes, you have more combinations and options.
Fewer pieces. More options.
Sunny wears the NEHRU SHIRTS with the WORKWARE TROUSERS in an outfit formal enough for the office, but stylish and nice for going out for a dinner date after.
Ian wears the SW1 HENLEY while on holiday in Bangkok, a piece comfortable enough for walking around in the daytime but formal enough to wear to a nice restaurant.

behind what makes hiraware clothes so versatile.
colours.
Muted. Complementary.
Versatile clothes begin with colour selection. Look for muted, natural colours that go well with many other colours, giving you more combinations.
When we pick our colours we look for muted tones that go well with the base wardrobe colours: white, khaki, grey, brown, navy blue, black.
The idea is that any hiraware piece should be able to pair well with most of the other clothes in your wardrobe.
For example, our sw1 trousers in black will go well with tops in white, green, blue, brown, or black. The colours work, giving a huge range of possible combinations.
pairing.
Fewer pieces. More combinations.
A shirt that only looks good with dark grey formal slacks just doesn't give you enough combinations.
When we design our clothes we look to make sure that they go well with many other different types of clothes: tee shirts, office shirts, jeans, shorts, chinos, slacks, etc.
For example, our sw1 henleys are designed to look good with shorts, jeans, canvas trousers, etc. Again, giving you huge range of combinations and options.
Ali wears the SW1 HENLEY with sports shorts and trainers, perhaps something thrown on for lunch after the gym - letting him look dressier than if he was fully in sports clothes.
styling.
Flexible across events.
Clothes that can only be worn to one type event or occasion, are just less likely to be worn.
When we design our clothes we look to make sure they can be worn over many different events: going out and about your day, chilling at home, going out for dinner, coming from the office, etc.
This allows you to wear the clothes regularly, saves you time not having to go back and change, and if you're travelling allows you to pack really light.
We see here the SW1 HENLEY paired with the SW1 TROUSERS. It's a calm, stylish look that could work for going on a day out, heading to dinner at a nice place, or even a casual Friday in the office.
We see here the WORKWARE TROUSERS taken on holiday to Paris. Versatile enough to be worn all day throughout the trip in different settings, paired with different pieces.

People have loved them:
"I am completely smitten with Hira. I adore every detail you put into each garment. The fabric choices are fantastic - very comfortable and breathable. I am particularly fond of the sw1 linen raglan henley series. It is very versatile in style, casual, laid-back, yet presentable."
Calvin Tan
"I wear the shirt everywhere all the time. Like two times a week. For work or just to go out on the weekend. I always get compliments whenever I wear it to the office. People always ask me were I got it from."
