TWO MEN BAGEL HOUSE is a bagel shop with outlets in Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong (soon), and Seoul (soonish?)

They reached out to us for work trousers for their staff. The trousers were to be worn daily by workers. They needed to be tough and durable to withstand daily wear, but also comfortable and breathable to be worn all day in the kitchen.

We decided to use the workware trousers as a base. The base fabric canvas cotton was kept for its breathability and durability, able to handle daily wear with no problem.

The waistband was slightly elasticised, to be able to expand up to 1-inch, for extra mobility when squatting down to retrieve stuff. An additional side pocket was added on the left for small utensils.

Most interestingly, we explored colours that would age well with kitchen wear and tear. The idea being not to try to keep it looking new, but to have it age and develop a patina as it got exposed to food stains, burns, and bleach.

We opted for two colours. A black that would age and expose into a dark brown over time. And a deep maroon red that would darken with stains, while also lightening when exposed to bleach.
