designed to beat the heat
Most clothes sold here are not designed for Southeast Asia's heat and humidity.
Through fabric technology and design, hiraware clothes have been built and optimised to excel in the heat and humidity, keeping you cool even on a hot day.

behind how hiraware clothes keep you cool and comfortable.
Lightweight fabrics.
Lighter. Cooler.
Fabric acts as a barrier between you and the environment. It covers you up, but also traps heat in.
The heavier the fabric, the thicker the barrier - preventing air and heat from being released to the environment and trapping it in.
We design our clothes with lightweight fabrics that release heat rather than trapping it in, leaving you feeling cool and comfortable.
Breathable fabrics.
Air flowing through, not just around.
The greater the surface area through which air can flow, the more air circulates and the cooler you feel.
Cheaper fabrics like polyester are made of plastic which don't let air and moisture pass through. They don't breathe.
Hiraware fabrics, such as linen and cotton, are selected for their breathability.
These fabrics allow air and moisture pass through the fabric itself and not just around it - increasing airflow and keeping you cool.
Moisture-wicking fabrics.
Pulling moisture away from the skin.
A huge part of feeling comfortable is feeling dry. Good clothes need to be able to pull off moisture from our skin, and release it into the air.
Hiraware fabrics like cotton and linen are extremely good at this.
Due to their hydrophilic nature, they are able absorb sweat off the skin and release it to the air, leaving your skin dry and comfortable.
Cut.
Relaxed cuts that let air flow.
A tight cut restricts airflow. It creates a rigid shell that doesn't move, restricting airflow.
We cut our clothes a little looser and favour relaxed cuts.
Relaxed cuts flow and move as you move, helping to push air in and out, almost like a pump or a fan - helping you stay cool.
Fabric technology.
Micro air-pockets for a cooler feel.
Hiraware clothes incorporate special fabrics and cutting-edge features to make them feel even cooler.
For example, the bowling shirt in seersucker black uses a special seersucker cotton fabric.
This fabric is unique for its bumpiness, caused by the way the seersucker cotton is woven. The bumps mean that, when the fabric lies against the skin - it doesn't lie flat. Instead, it forms air pockets that help your skin cool.

People have loved them for how cool and comfortable they are:
"I am completely smitten with Hira. I adore every detail you put into each garment. The fabric choices are fantastic - very comfortable and breathable. I am particularly fond of the sw1 linen raglan henley series. It is very versatile in style, casual, laid-back, yet presentable."
Calvin Tan
"I have to say that I ordered 2 henleys with a bit of skepticism when I chanced upon it on IG. Glad to say I was proven wrong. The material is a lovely surprise - soft to the skin and cooling to the touch. I love the design and I am contemplating getting another soon."
Julian
