heatproof
research and development of garments
hiraware
Most clothes struggle in Southeast Asia's heat and humidity.
Through our investment into fabric technology and design, we continue to break new ground and craft the region's best natural heatproof garments.

hiraware chef jackets in use at the Fifty Tales restaurant, selected for their technical excellence in handling the kitchen's heat.

fabrics.
ultralight fine cotton.

Heavy fabrics trap heat.
We design our clothes with ultralight fine fabrics that release heat instead.
Our specialty cotton uses uses a 110 gsm long-fiber cotton, 30% lighter than normal 160 gsm shirt fabrics, leaving you feeling immediately cooler.
fabrics.
openweave, quick-dry linen.
Cheaper synthetic fabrics like polyester don't let air and moisture pass through. They don't breathe.
We designed our linen to do the opposite. An open weave structure combined with linen's natural hydrophilic properties increases the rate at which air and moisture pass through.
Drawing it from the skin and out into the air, leaving you feeling cool and dry.
Cut.
ambient fit technology.

Most clothes form rigid shells that do not move, restricting airflow.
We cut our clothes to enhance airflow.
Our ambient fit technology ensures the clothes move as you move, helping to push air in and out like a pump or a fan and keeping the internal temperature the same as the ambient environment.

nano-air pocket seersucker cotton.
Breaking new ground in heatproof solutions.
A specialty cotton woven to create natural nano-air pockets against the skin.
Creating an additional cooling layer that immediately sets it apart, reducing the "feels-like" temperature by up to 2 degrees.
