Most clothes are not designed for Southeast Asia's heat and humidity.

Through fabric technology and design, hiraware clothes have been built excel in the heat and keep you cool even on a hot day.

Get to know the technology and design

behind how hiraware clothes keep you cool and comfortable.

Lightweight fabrics.

Lighter. Cooler.

Fabric acts as a barrier around you. It covers you up, but also traps heat.

Heavier, thicker fabrics trap heat even more.

We design our clothes with lightweight fabrics.

These release heat, leaving you feeling cool and comfortable.

Breathable fabrics.

Wicking moisture away from the skin.

Cheaper fabrics like polyester are made of plastic.

They don't let air and moisture pass through. They are hydrophobic and don't breathe.

In real life, this means sweat trapped.

Our natural linen and cotton fabrics allow air and moisture to pass through.

They are hydrophilic and breathe.

In real life, this means sweat wicked away from skin that stays dry.

Cut.

Relaxed cuts that let air flow.

Slim cuts create rigid shells that do not move, restricting airflow.

We cut our clothes a little looser.

Our relaxed cuts move as you move, helping to push air in and out, like a pump or a fan keeping you cool.

Technology.

Research & development.

We continue to work with our suppliers to develop innovative heatproof solutions.

Incremental improvements that allow us to break new ground.

For example, a fabric woven to create natural air pockets against the skin.

Applying fabric technology to solve real-world problems. Designed by hiraware.

People.

A Russian in Singapore.

One of our friends is Russian, working in Singapore. Naturally, he finds it really hot.

In his words, "I sweat like a pig here."

He bought our short sleeve shirt.

We checked in on him a month later and he was wearing it everywhere.

"You know, I sweat very easily. So this stuff, it actually makes a difference. Really helps."

You will find him during the weekends, out and about River Valley, in his hiraware shirt.
